Learning Resources

About.com French
About.com's French page has answers to just about every grammar and culture question that you could have.

Lawless French is the blog of one Mademoiselle Laura K. Lawless, the author of most (or all?) of the About.com French pages.  This blog is just as edifying, but in a more informal context.

Duolingo is one of the highest-rated free language-learning sites/apps; excellent for learning vocabulary and a lovely complement to French curriculum at West.

Mango Languages
Mango Languages contains everything you need to learn a language by the natural method-- that is, how children learn the language of their parents, through intuition.  The service is accessible for free through the Iowa City Public Library.

WordReference Forum
The WordReference Forum is an incredible repository of knowledge about a number of languages, French included.  Native speakers from around the world convene in an atmosphere of mutual respect and self-amelioration.

Quizlet.com
You're probably familiar with Quizlet from your other classes, but that doesn't make it any less exceptional for French vocabulary.

Memrise.com
Memrise.com is similar to Quizlet, but features a method less like memorization and more like teaching.
